Adam, good morning!

No we don’t have this feature yet.

Since I know for fact you are one of the big ePic champions, I’d like to share my thoughts with you:

ePic is designed to get rid of paperwork so as to be e-freight. Remember IATA made the e-freight initiative over a decade ago. Look at the industry today and you can tell right away the situation is still not very encouraging in realization of e-freight.

There are needs for paperwork such as printed reports. I’m keenly aware of that. We can certainly perfect reports in terms of contents, formatting, packaging and so on, but it is still paper-centric way of doing things. Cargospot is the leading victim of this old think. There is a plethora of reports of different kinds nobody actually uses or cares any more.

Going back to the dim report, what if the dim & weight information is available online so that airline reps can view themselves? There is an ePic Online portal to do that. See the screenshot:

I know going paperless is a revolution. There are lots of road blocks, here, there and everywhere. We together shall overcome. In this sense the ePic people, called we, you guys included, who design, build, use, advocate, evangelize and contribute to the system, are moving this difficult air industry forward.

My friend, let’s e-freight, shall we?

Best,

Chuck

Hello Chuck,

Thank you for the prompt response in regards to yesterday’s issues with the acceptance/rejection. I look forward to any feedback you might have in regards to that scenario or any others associated!

I do have a question if you have the time. Is there currently a way to ‘mass print’ or ‘batch print’ selections of DIM’s from CASNET/EPIC? We are in the process of transitioning out of the handwritten dims and into EPIC dims, but for now CXIAH is requiring physical DIMS to be present. My thought is to have the ability to select a mass of DIM records and print them from the Cannon ‘Office Workhorse’ instead of individually printing on the HP network printer. Your insight would be much appreciated!

Thanks Again,

Adam Turner
